AND

LIGHT STANDS

Learn how to build a tabletop light stand from PVC pipe and shop lights. Attach a simple timer and have all your seedlings' light needs satisfied without relying on the sun (or relying on you to remember to turn the lights on and off.

COMPOSTING IS HOT!

Learn how to make compost that actually does heat up!  It isn't as hard as you may think.  With a simple wire fence enclosure and minimal tools you can make that compost bin you've been meaning to get around to.  Learn which tools you need (one), which tools are nice to have, and which tools you don't really need.

AND

WORMS CAN EAT YOUR GARBAGE

Now's your chance to make compost with (eeeeww!) worms.  With a simple inexpensive plastic bin and some shredded newspaper you can turn almost all your kitchen waste into compost.  They don't smell, they don't make noise, and you don't have to take them for a walk.  You can make compost through the cold months or all year round with worms.

BUT WAIT THERE’S MORE

MULCH

Do I need mulch?  You do.  Is it expensive?  Not if you take this class.

Find out what mulch will do for your garden and you. Less weeding, less watering.

Find out what all those fall leaves are for and how to use other (hopefully) free natural substances to make your world in the garden a better place

We’ll demonstrate how to sharpen everything from your lawn mower blades to your hoes, trowels and shovels.

Fix those splintery wooden tool handles and apply a preservative. Your grandparents will be proud

There will be a $5.00 donation request if you would like hands on instruction and use of our grinders and preservative for up to 3 of your hand tools.
